Feeling global belonging: Sensorial experiences in global education

چکیده

Global citizenship education (GCE) seeks to develop critical thinking and self-reflexivity and, crucially, create feelings of belonging a common humanity. Although the subjectivity has been widely recognized, gaps remain around micro-level experiences practices that foster global identities. This article addresses these questions through analysis individual’s lived experience on an international GCE programme. It will be argued is transformative process self-identity, shaped primarily shared sensorial where unfamiliar becomes familiar. The senses here help new personal norms building trust, bonds between individuals from different backgrounds. Thus, in order understand journey towards belonging, we must look as key sites transformation.
